Owned and operated by Michael and Michelle Griffiths, based on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Queen of Hearts Racing is focused on success at the racetrack, animal welfare, our local community and creating memorable times for our friends.
We always try to keep things local. We love to use local stabling, training and suppliers. We enjoy supporting local charities that support our community. We also love giving back to our community through volunteering and sponsorship.
Our passion is racing and we are built around that. We strive for success in picking the highest quality thoroughbreds. We have partnered with Jake Hull Training to train our horses.
Jake Hull is a Gosford based trainer and head trainer for Feale Park. Feale Park is a private training facility on the central coast and conveniently located near the M1 to easily access numerous metropolitan, provincial and country racecourses. The racing stable is a growing business with exciting up and coming horses and early success reflected by Jake Hull's winning strike rate of 16% last season which increased to 40% including placings.
With approximately 10 years experience as a jockey and a strong family background in racing, Jake brings with him a wealth of knowledge with a focus on respect and the wellbeing of his horses. Jake offers a hands on approach to training, riding much of his own work which provides him with the upper hand of thoroughly understanding each horse within his care.
Feale Park Training, owned by John O'Connor boasts stable accommodation for up to 60 horses, day yards, two undercover walkers, a swimming pool and a 1000m sand track with a 250m gradual incline well designed to build strength and fitness in the lead up to race day as well as support muscle development in young horses. The property is known as a haven for horses and importantly is backed by a passionate team of riders and ground staff.
Whilst getting to the races and winning is an important part of horse ownership, we try to make it more than that. We give our owners the opportunity to get up close and persoanl to their horse and get to know them - and us! We hold events to socialise and mingle, give them regular updates and they are always welcome to swing by to give your horse a pat or a carrot!
